Jakarta – Presidential candidate number 02, Prabowo Subianto, expressed his gratitude for the arrival of his supporters at Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, in the grand campaign event on Saturday afternoon entitled Pesta Rakyat.
“We estimated that 200 thousand people would come, but the report stated that nearly 600 thousand attended,” said Prabowo when opening his speech at the final campaign.
“I, along with Gibran and all of KIM (Koalisi Indonesia Maju), express the highest appreciation for the sacrifices and the presence of our brothers and sisters today,” Prabowo continued.
Prabowo mentioned that originally the grand campaign was scheduled to start at 3:00 PM. However, it was moved up to 2:00 PM because the supporters had already been present since the morning.
“Today’s event was officially scheduled at 3:00 PM, but I received reports that people have been standing here since 9 AM,” he said.
He also apologized to the people of Jakarta who were affected by the traffic jam around Gelora Bung Karno due to the grand campaign of Prabowo-Gibran.
Not to forget, Prabowo congratulated the people who celebrate Isra Miraj in Islam and also wished a happy Chinese New Year to the Chinese community.
Today is also the last day of the presidential campaign period for the 2024 election. Thus, the grand campaign at GBK is the closing event before entering the quiet period. (SENOPATI)
