Alpine Formula 1 Teams Steve Nielsen Manajer Baru
Alpine Formula 1 team is set to announce veteran paddock Steve Nielsen as their new team manager. With over 35 years of experience in F1, Nielsen has held various roles with teams like Lotus, Tyrrell, Honda, and Arrows. He is best known for his time with Benetton, working alongside Flavio Briatore, who is now the executive advisor for the Alpine Formula 1 division.
After the surprising departure of Ollie Oakes from the team in May, Briatore has turned to Nielsen to fill the vacant role. While discussions are ongoing between Briatore and Nielsen regarding the specifics of the role, it is likely that Nielsen will take on the responsibilities of a traditional F1 team principal and report to Briatore. However, complications may arise with the FIA, as Nielsen previously worked for the organization.
Nielsen’s highly respected background in motorsport suggests that he is well-suited for the position of team manager. Despite uncertainties surrounding his previous roles and departure from the FIA, Nielsen’s potential appointment as a team principal may require a valid FIA license. This situation comes amidst political instability within the F1 governing body, with allegations against FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem adding to the turbulence.
