President Prabowo Subianto recently visited former President Joko Widodo at his residence in Solo to discuss updates from his recent state visits to various countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Belgium, and France. During the meeting, Prabowo shared the progress made during his diplomatic tour, highlighting the breakthrough achieved in negotiations with the European Union on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) after a decade of discussions.

Accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Prabowo arrived at Jokowi’s residence and was warmly welcomed by the former President and First Lady Iriana. The meeting was described as cordial and relaxed, focusing on current issues and key highlights from Prabowo’s 15-day diplomatic tour, including the positive outcomes from the visits to various countries, such as Belarus.

Emphasizing Indonesia’s strong international standing and commitment to neutrality, Prabowo reaffirmed the country’s tradition as a non-aligned nation. He highlighted Indonesia’s efforts to build friendly relations with all countries, without interfering in their domestic affairs, which has led to a warm reception in the international community.

The meeting with Jokowi also included discussions with State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Angga Raka Prabowo. Prabowo’s visit to Jokowi aimed to strengthen ties and provide an update on key developments during his diplomatic tour.
