Two young Pacu Jalur performers, Wirotirta and Aryana, couldn’t contain their wide smiles during the Independence Day celebrations at Merdeka Palace. Dressed in vibrant green traditional Malay attire, the children captured the hearts of spectators with their synchronized and energetic movements, bringing regional culture pride to the national stage. Prior to their performance, a pencak silat troupe demonstrated their martial arts skills, followed by action star Iko Uwais showcasing the traditional Indonesian art of self-defense. The festivities concluded with the graceful Tari Payung Merah Putih (Red-and-White Umbrella Dance), enriching the celebratory spirit of Indonesia’s Independence Day.
