Merdeka Palace in Jakarta was filled with a solemn atmosphere during the flag-lowering ceremony commemorating Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day. For Titi Nurdianti, a Jakarta resident from Cilacap, Central Java, the moment brought both pride and deep emotions. Titi shared that securing a ticket for the historic ceremony was a challenging journey as she had to compete online. Despite the tough competition, she felt overwhelmed and emotional when she finally managed to secure a ticket. It was her first time attending such an event, a dream come true for her.
On August 17, 2025, Titi witnessed the sacred ritual in person for the first time. To mark the occasion, she chose to wear traditional attire from West Nusa Tenggara, in striking red color. She expressed her joy in being able to wear the traditional outfit from NTB, as it gave her the opportunity to learn more about the region. One of the highlights of the day for Titi was the procession that followed the flag-lowering ceremony, which added to the grandeur of the Independence Day celebration.
Amidst tears and joy, Titi offered prayers and well-wishes for Indonesia’s future. She expressed her optimism for the country’s progress and the people’s prosperity, justice, and peace. Titi also extended her prayers to President Prabowo, wishing him good health to lead the nation with sovereignty and bring welfare to the people, strengthening Indonesia further. It was a memorable day filled with emotions and hopes for a brighter future.
