Valentino Rossi’s squad recently unveiled the new livery for MotoGP 2026, featuring a striking yellow and black color combination with the Indonesian flag running along the prototype’s body. This change from the fluorescent yellow and white design of the previous season extends to the riders’ suits as well.

Rossi explained the decision to update the livery, stating that they wanted to maintain their classic yellow color while adding a more racing-oriented black element to the design. This shift was well-received by riders like Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Di Giannantonio, who will be riding the Desmosedici GP bikes. Even MotoGP fans, with 83% expressing their approval in a recent poll, appreciated the new look.

Di Giannantonio praised the new livery for its aggressive and racing-oriented appearance, similar sentiment shared by Morbidelli. Despite VR46’s dominance in the second factory-spec bike, the team opted to assign the additional GP26 bike to Gresini Ducati due to operational costs and Morbidelli’s performance stability concerns.

Looking back at the 2025 season, VR46 made progress by finishing third in the team standings, although victories have been elusive for them in the past two seasons. Rossi remains optimistic about the upcoming season, aiming to improve on their previous performance and stay competitive throughout the races. The last victory for VR46 came from Marco Bezzecchi in the 2023 Indian GP.

The team is gearing up for a more successful season ahead, driven by the desire to outperform their previous achievements and maintain a strong competitive presence in MotoGP circuits.
