Doriane Pin, the 2025 F1 Academy champion, recently shared her admiration for seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton and the impact he has had on her career. In a conversation on the Beyond The Grid podcast, Pin expressed how she looked up to Hamilton, especially as she watched him win titles while growing up with her dad. Reflecting on Hamilton’s first title with Mercedes in 2014 and his battles with teammate Nico Rosberg, Pin credited the British driver for inspiring her passion for the sport.
Transitioning from a fan to a colleague at Mercedes, where she joined the junior programme in 2024, was a remarkable journey for Pin. Winning the all-female racing series championship in her second year and subsequently becoming a development driver for Mercedes, Pin acknowledged the support and camaraderie within the team, emphasizing how proud she is to be part of the Mercedes family.
