Prabowo Subianto, the President of Indonesia, recently appointed General Tandyo Budi as the Deputy Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI). Along with this appointment, he also inaugurated six new Regional Military Command (Kodam) commanders, 20 brigade commanders, and 100 Territorial Development Battalions. During the ceremony, Prabowo awarded the Bintang Sakti Medal of Honor to soldiers who displayed outstanding integrity. He stressed the importance of leaders leading from the front and being the first line of protection for their troops in dangerous situations. Prabowo emphasized that TNI commanders should lead by example, taking care of their troops as they would their own children while also maintaining the identity and mission of the TNI as the people’s army.
