President Prabowo Subianto expressed his special appreciation to all officers and participants of the 80th Independence Day ceremony at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. He commended the discipline, order, and enthusiasm displayed throughout the day. Prabowo thanked everyone for their dedication and spirit in carrying out the ceremony seamlessly. He instructed Ceremony Commander Colonel Slamet to convey his personal gratitude to each participant for their contribution. In accordance with the president’s instructions, the majority of invitations were given to the general public to ensure wide participation. The day’s events included a Flag and Proclamation Procession from the National Monument to the Palace, followed by a People’s Festival with cultural performances and free culinary delights. The festivities will culminate in the United Independence Carnival in 2025, celebrating the peak of the 80th Independence Day celebrations. The carnival will take place along a route from Monas to the HI Roundabout and Semanggi.
